An unhurried time with the Lord is the most precious part of our day! Henry Blackaby often taught wonderful truths from the scriptures about the prayer life of Jesus. His teaching has effected people over the planet. Hopefully today your prayer life will be effected.

Henry taught and modeled the importance of spending unhurried time with the Lord each day.

There are many examples in scripture where we see Jesus withdrawing from the crowds in order to spend time in prayer- especially before a major decision or event (Luke 6:12-13; John 7:53-8:2; Luke 22:39-46).

Pray
Lord Jesus, please help me know what time I need to get up each morning in order to spend unhurried time with You each day. Help me have the strength, the desire, the passion for you and the discipline it takes to wake up, get up and sit quietly with you.

Please help me make the adjustment I need to make! I know that sitting unhindered with you is the most important part of my day. I know that time early in the day with you will give me the perspective I need to live obediently. It will give me the foundation for my day.

Are you spending unhurried time with the Lord each day? If not, let us challenge you to ask God what adjustments you need to make so that you can spend unhurried time with Him.
